Analisis Majas dalam Kumpulan Puisi Karangan Siswa Kelas VIII MTs Ja-Alhaq Kota Bengkulu
Abstract
This research aims to describe the use of types of figures of speech in the poetry of class VIII students at MTs Ja-alHaq, Bengkulu City, so that we can find out the writing of students' poetry along with the most dominant types of figures of speech used by students. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subject of this research is a collection of poetry written by class VIII students at MTs Ja-alHaq, Bengkulu City. The research focused on types of figures of speech in poetry collections written by class VIII students at MTs Ja-alHaq, Bengkulu City. This research uses documentation techniques to collect data. Data were analyzed using semantic analysis techniques. The validity of the data is obtained through semantic validity and intrareteral and interater reliability. The results of the research show that it can be said that the poetry writing ability of class VIII students at MTs Ja-alHaq Bengkulu City in writing poetry is still categorized as lacking. The results of observations or observations of the process and results can also be concluded that the obstacles faced by students when carrying out poetry writing activities are that students are less enthusiastic and less interested in participating in learning to write poetry. The types of figures of speech used in the students' poetry include; (1) Simile, (2) hyperbole, (3) repetition, (4) personification, (5) metaphor, (6) ellipsis, and (7) allegory. A total of 50 figures of speech were found. The dominant figure of speech used in students' poetry is personification figures of speech, totaling 22 types of use from the 50 types of figures of speech found.
