Abstract

Improving the ability to read and write the Al-Qur’an is important for Muslims in practicing the Al-Al-Qur’an in everyday life. However, several studies show a lack of ability to read the Koran among students from pre-school to college levels. This problem is exacerbated by the lack of parental attention to learning the Koran outside of school, including the parents' own poor reading ability of the Koran. This research aims to determine the extent to which children's ability to read the Qur'an has increased through efforts made using the Iqro' method at the An-Nur Mosque, Tanjung Terdana Village, Pondok Kubang District, Central Bengkulu Regency. The approach method used is Tutorial and Classical. In this service, the targets are children who study the Al-Qur’an at the An-Nur Mosque, Tanjung Terdana Village, most of whom do not understand the meaning of letters, the nature of letters and recitation. This activity was carried out for 40 days at the An-Nur Mosque, Tanjung Terdana Village after Maghrib prayers with a total of 20 children participating. The results of the research carried out explain that the implementation of Al-Al-Qur’an learning using the Iqro' method has been carried out well, smoothly and according to expectations. Apart from that, children's reading of the Qur'an has increased in 4 stages, starting from the planning, implementing, observing and reflecting stages.
