Menumbuhkan Minat dan Potensi Keagamaan Anak di Desa Pagar Gunung Melalui Lomba Keagamaan di Bulan Muharram
Abstract
Community service students see a situation of shifting religious and moral values in children due to the increasingly massive influence of technology. Motivation is very important to foster children's interest in carrying out activities in the religious field. To strengthen the Islamic interest and potential of children in Pagar Gunung Village, students created an interesting activity which was packaged as a religious competition activity in the month of Muharram. Religious competition activities are held from the 5th to the 9th of Muharram. The aims and objectives of this activity are to be grateful for the blessings of Allah SWT, a place for friendship, a means of cultivating the interest and potential of children in Pagar Gunung Village in the religious field. Religious competitions in the month of Muharram are divided into several categories, namely: MTQ competition, call to prayer competition, calligraphy coloring competition, and also Muslim dress competition. This religious competition activity in the month of Muharram provides 2 benefits. The first benefit fosters children's interest in religious activities. The second benefit is exploring children's potential in the religious field, children can discover their own potential.
