Implementasi Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Melalui Program Berbasis Masjid di Desa Semidang Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah
Abstract
Local area dedication through Genuine Work Talks (KKN) is one type of commitment to alleviate problems contained in the community based on the knowledge they have gained in college, and at the same time become a forum for students to explore habits and problems occur in the community directly . This study aims to examine the role of Mosque-based Local area dedication Program in expanding public mindfulness to participate in mosque activities and provide education to children in Semidang Village, Central Bengkulu Regency. The method used in this study is direct observation in the field (field research). Students of KKN are pursued in activities related to the mosque such as being imam, preacher, and muadzin for male students, cleaning the mosque environment, and providing education to children about the procedures for reciting the Koran that is good and correct. The results showed that through the mosque -based KKN that had been held did not show a significant development of public awareness to participate in mosque activities. Educational efforts aimed at children showed an increase in knowledge through the recitation activities organized by KKN students.
