IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM BAHASA (ARAB, INGGRIS, DAN INDONESIA) DI MA’HAD AL-JAMI’AH UINFAS BENGKULU
Abstract
This research is motivated by the importance of language programs used as a tool to foster student discipline. Researchers see that there are still students who lack discipline in terms of timeliness. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of language programs (Arabic, English and Indonesian) at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN FAS Bengkulu, student discipline, and the problems encountered in implementing the language program as a student discipline development program. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, with the data collection process obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation.
The results of this study are that the implementation of foreign language compulsory programs has been carried out but has not been maximized. In its implementation, mahasantri participate in the vocabulary training given before the implementation of the foreign language compulsory program. Mahasantri are also given the task of depositing memorized vocabulary to musyrif and musyrifah.
The problems encountered in the implementation of this mandatory language program are, firstly, a shortage of teaching staff who master the applied foreign language, secondly, a lack of funds is one of the causes so that Ma'had has not been able to bring in foreign language teaching staff from outside Ma'had. The conclusion of this study is that the language program implemented at Ma'had is quite effective in fostering student discipline.
