Efektivitas Senam Aerobik Low Impact Terhadap Penurunan Tekanan Darah Lansia Hipertensi pada Kelompok Senam Lansia di Desa Kosgoro Kabupaten Musi Rawas
Abstract
Hypertension is a chronic health problem that is often experienced by the elderly and is at risk of causing serious complications if not managed properly. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of low-impact aerobic exercise on reducing blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension in Kosgoro Village, Musi Rawas Regency. The research method used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of the one group pretest-posttest type. The sample consisted of 24 elderly people with hypertension who participated in the low-impact aerobic exercise intervention for 5 weeks, 2 times per week. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure data were collected before and after the intervention, then analyzed using a paired t-test. The results showed a statistically significant decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure (p <0.05) after the intervention. These findings indicate that low-impact aerobic exercise is an effective non-pharmacological intervention to control blood pressure in the elderly. This study encourages the application of exercise as a promotive and preventive strategy in public health services, especially at the village level.
